- Implementation of the IPPC Directive in Spain: file 1 and file 2
A tool which proved useful in Spain to soften the adaptation of some industrial sectors or particular installations to the new requirements related to the IPPC Directive was the preparation of voluntary agreements between industry and Competent Authority, which include a calendar with environmental objectives for the industry and the compromise by the CA to support the industry in the associated procedures and, given the case, granting schemes. The following examples can be downloaded below:
- Agreement between the cement industry and the Ministry of Environment of Spain
- Agreement between the national association of pulp, paper and cardboard manufacturers and the Ministry of Environment of Spain, to regulate the wastewater discharges of that industry
- Agreement between the national ceramics industry association and the Competent Authority in the Spanish region of Valencia
- Agreement between ENCE paper & pulp installation and the Competent Authority in the Spanish region of Andalucía (slides 7 and 8 of the file)
