The workshops for the revision of inventory of IED installations activity under the DIES Project were held.

Within the scope of “Determination of Industrial Emission Strategy of Turkey in Accordance with Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (DIES)” Project, of which the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the General Directorate of Environmental Management,  Department of Air Management is the beneficiary, four workshops for the revision of inventory of IED installations activity were organized. Each workshop had different target audiences and in the workshop, generally, information about the data gathering, methodology, and data sources was presented.

The first workshop, which was called 1. Workshop on Data Collection and Inventory, was conducted between the dates of 29-31 March 2021 via an online meeting platform. The scope of the 3-day workshop, organized for the MoEU personnel, was to present the initial findings and studies under the Activity Set 1.1- the Revision of Inventory of IPPC Installations, and to give examples of  the EU experiences and practices on developing the IPPC Inventories in EU member states. The second had the same topics as the first one and was addressed to the MoEU Provincial Directorates and Center Directorates of Clean Air personnel. It was held between the dates of 7-9 April 2021 via an online meeting platform. The agenda of the second workshop can be found here.

The third and fourth workshops were called Workshop on Evaluation of Data Sources for Inventory. In the workshops, information about the present situation in the inventory was given and data sources were evaluated. The third workshop was held between the dates of 25-27 May 2021 for universities and public institutions, and the fourth and last workshop was held for sector representatives between the dates of 1-3 June 2021.
